It has been more than 1 year since I played this game, i just realized that i need to post a comment for this game.Developing a text based adventure game has been one of my dreams and this game triggered that ambition in me. I owe this game that. Now i know what to do.Cheers.. An engaging storyline with compelling writing, a joy to play. This is a very fine example of interactive fiction.. THIS GAME IS THE MOST CAPTIVATING STORIES I'VE EVER PLAYED THROUGH.... ONCE. My first playthrough was incredible. I can't remember the last time I played through a game with a narrative that interesting. Every word and sentence had me getting closer to my screen. I couldn't get enough and it seemed that every chapter was better than the last. I love how the story affected the game in such a way. I couldn't get to my second run through to change my decision fast enough. LOVED THIS GAME. So before I go any further I'll say one thing. For the price, it's definitely worth it.!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!Unfortunately it was my second playthrough that I noticed one very disappointing fact. Your decision don't decide anything. I made one massive decision right off that back. When deciding whether or not to follow the ringing, I decided on this playthrough to not follow it. But it didn't matter. I ended falling through a hole in the ground and getting stuck in the tunnel anyway. This kept happening, making decisions and not getting any different outcome from it. In fact, this system is so broken, that dialogue lines where nonsensical. After not having shot my weapon ONCE, I was somehow running low on ammo. After NOT speaking to Barksdale once, he still made a comment on 'How I had spoke to him'. The way I see it, there is essentially one ending. 2 endings that are somewhat different but with no real difference and 2 other endings that have such a minor difference from the first ending, that it might as well have not been included. As much as I love this game, it's cheaply done and is just giving the illusion of multiple endings.. I actually really enjoyed playing the game, it has an immersive story that sometimes kicks your♥♥♥♥♥for making a bad decision.....I made a Youtube series about it, so if you want to check out one path to go down before diving in yourself, check out the first video herehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyTq4UiIZNQ. Amazing story so far. Imaginative plot and a clever setting; being thrust directly into the story from the very first paragraph, whilst giving the reader/player more detail as you progress.Very well presented with gently appearing text at a comfy reading speed. The illustrations/photos are excellent and don't detract from the story's imagery hardly at all. I can almost hear the ringing in my ears from that misterious sound.I also like the limited choices mechanic, means I don't necessarily spend too much time about the actual choice making...usually!
